Looks great Mike, so hows lion taste??? :)
-
i heard lion taste pretty good. awesome stuff mike i hope to make something like that here soon myself. reaching over my back trying to get that arrow that keeps moving with my shoulder gets annoying. ;D
-
Kayak, yes the bow goes all the way through ... but the riser is slightly bigger than the rest of the bow.. and the bow has curved limbs as well.. so i built the case tight enough that you have to grab the bow and twist it to the side in order to extract it from the case... very efficient.. and quiet to remove and replace into the bowcase..DanaM lion is some of the best tasting meat there is ... almost as good as big horn sheep...thanks for the compliments about the case and quiver brothers...I can't wait for bear season to open up in a few weeks...Hawk a/ho

Hi, Nice looking arrow and bow quiver!! ;D I will have try harder! How long is the bow in the photo's? Thanks for your time!
-
Man! I like the look of that! Great job.
I'll field test it for you. ;) ;D

Cromm, the bow is fifty eight inches long ... Sean every one here has offered the same thing .. my wife makes me take it off before bed though, must be the claws ;)

I forgot to say the lion skin is brain tanned... took me three days to tan the old girl..... but it came out as soft as a baby bunny.. and when the hide is wet has virtually no scent... I am building a new war bag and using the head skin for the cover flap... will post it when i finish it.. Hawk..a/ho

for your coyote war bag how is that made? like.. the opening. i had a war bag type fox hide i used to use a few years ago. it was cut open at the neck how is your opened? also the strap and how to you keep it closed.

I had this quiver and bow in my wife's Tahoe for almost a full day. It is more beautiful than the pictures show. The problem was Hawk was in there too, so no chance for a clean get away!! Watcher

Hawkbow, That's a nice lookin' set up you have there 8). I really like the plains style design. I recently made a badger skin back quiver but I like the plains style design better; I'll post some pics when I get my camera working again!
I like the pics you posted :D. Looks like the country where I grew up in Wyoming (Hanna, Elk Mtn area). I sure do miss it there! :'(
Thanks for sharing your work, Joe

Watcher, I was born in Laramie and went to school at Hanna Elk Mtn. Growin up there was the best. I haven't hunted there since the 80's. Joe
