Title: Mecer Co. Bowbenders Snowshoe Shoot pics
Post by: Dakota Kid on February 22, 2017, 12:37:40 am: While the name wasn't very fitting with temps nearing 60, this years snowshoe shoot was a blast. We had the largest turnout thus far. Many who have a hard time in the colder weather were able to make it out this year. This wasn't a true primitive shoot, but it was restricted to single string and no sights. Most everyone shot modern recurves. My wife and I went against the norm (like usual) and shot selfbows.

Post by: Dakota Kid on March 06, 2017, 12:08:12 am: There was a little snow in the shady spots that hadn't melted off yet, but it was way more wet than frozen. Probably a good thing considering I popped a strap on my snowshoes and had forgotten all about fixing it.

Thanks for admiring the "get up". Hopefully I can take a tip from Bob and get an out fit that better matches my noggin by next year. I'm guessing I'll need more than just the one hide I'm currently tanning.
