Title: Hand or jig?
Post by: alwayslookin on March 08, 2017, 07:16:13 pm
Pretty self explanatory but do you guys fletch your arrows by a hand or a jig?

Both. For primitive arrows I hand wrap Eastern Woodland 2 fletch and tangential 3 and 4 fletch. I also have a JoJan Multi Fletch that I use for doweled shafting.

I just can't make it satisfactory by hand.. always has imperfections in how the fletchings are placed. I guess it's not that big of a deal to have slight imperfections though..

Jig mostly, not steady enough to apply just by hand.
