I decided to go for a drive in Osage Country today. I thought I'd get up the nerve to ask some landowners if I could take away dead stuff. The first guy looked at me like I had 3 heads. :NN
However, the next gentleman was so kind and generous! He said I could drive my car right up to one of his hedgerows and take whatever I wanted. )W( Even said I could cut anything that was standing dead. (W
I told him I'd bring him a bow for his nephews who are interested in traditional archery. (SH) I couldn't believe how cool this guy was. Turns out he owns 90% of the farmland in the area and has Osage growing everywhere! (A)
You never know unless you ask :) :) :)
Here's a pic of the haul and a few more of the hedgerow
