This is the bow that I've been fiddling with for a while. 45#@28" 62NTN. Siyahs are also OS and the tip overlays are fumed OS. OS is very hard so I just marked the arrow pass with a couple of file cuts filled with graphite and 5 min epoxy. You can see there is very little difference between braced and unbraced. This is the natural deflex. It's a cinch to brace and I was expecting it to be a real dog with so little early draw weight. But it shoots right around 165fps with a 10gpp arrow. So far I'm really liking this bow.

Wow! That is a sweeeeeeeet bow DC! (-S Beautifully executed with the siyahs and all. I've never attempted one of those before but now I think I must try. Keep your mailbox free so I can bombard you with PMs!
You really should be proud of this one. ;)

Awesome bow DC!! Did you leave a little of the main limb sticking past the siyahs to make the bridges?sounds like good performance and an easy shooter.

Wow, thanks guys! I'm really grateful for the comments. There are pictures of the constuction here http://www.primitivearcher.com/smf/index.php/topic,60489.0.html The bridges are part of the siyah, I almost cut them off and then caught myself. Mailbox is always open but everything I know is in the link.
Thanks again

Good work Don getting a recurve done on an ocean spray with siyahs.Should be a sweet shooter.

Wow Man! That's awesome!

Excellent! I really like how you trimmed the siyahs in such a functional way.

Great job Don! Got to see that one shooting:)

Very nice!

Nice bow an I like the glue job! still want to do that some time but am to scared to try. Must shoot really smooth with the deflex and the recurves

I think I could have taken off a little more but you get to a point where caution trumps bravery. I also noticed the law of diminishing returns kicks in here. The first 10 grams you take off the tips you get a good increase in fps, the next 10 grams, not so much. Leon, give it a try. V joints are quite easy.
Thanks for the kudos

This is a beautiful bow sir. I really am happy it turned out to be easy to brace. It certainly could have been otherwise!
