Can bendy handles be narrowed at all or is it asking for trouble? Maybe on a sinewed bow. Properly tillered of course :D
-
I've done it a few times.

I have done many almost bendy handled bows that narrow at the handle. By that I mean I can feel the handle give just a bit as I hit full draw.

I usually narrow just a little at the handle but compensate for the lack of width with extra thickness. Works every time! ;)

Check out the combined pyramid-Ishi bow in TBB 4 p125. Basically a Modoc bow I guess.
Don't know why it has such a short draw length for a 59 1/4" ntn bendy bow though.. 23" seriously? i'd think it'd be easily possible to get 23" out of a *stiff* handle 54"
Also, Ishi's bows were (slightly?) bendy with narrowed handles. As were many of those paddle bows.

Made a bunch of bendy pyramids.
