Was out for pike today, but I nabbed this guy. Biggest bass I ever caught. The thing fought like a bat out of $@^%! )F(

Wow ...that's a monster bass for north of the Mason Dixon line..........
Good job ...what did you catch that dude on? spinner bait, crank bait????

Caught him on a live bass minnow!
-
She's already spawned out..... she would have weighted 1-2 lbs more a month ago.....did you weigh her?
Again nice fish,

Nice catch. You need to take up bow fishing and combine both of your passions.
-
That's a good one ther!! )F(

D Bar, I'm not crazy about the taste of bass so I threw her back. She must have weighed somewhere around 4-5 lbs. with the 9 lb cat I caught recently as reference.
OO, always wanted to try bow fishing. The targets are usually carp, no?
Thanks Gut. :)

Nice bass! Congratulations

Upstate,
I don't eat bass that big either 12" and less is good though. Croppie and Bluegill is my favorite. Cats are right there also. Hard to tell how much it weights from here. but a real nice one. Wish I had a buck for every bass I've caught over the last 60 years. Their a lot of fun to catch.

You are correct Zuma. Summer and fishing go hand in hand! Got my sights set on pulling in a monster Northern Pike now, great tasting fish -C- and fun as heck to catch. )F( This weekend I'm gonna take my kayak out and run a rappala about 6 feet down along the edge of a weed bed where the depth drops quickly from 4' down to 80'. I just know they're there. Tried today but I don't think I was deep enough. )F( )F(

Also try weedless spoons and rubber tubes across and through the weed bed,

Nice fishing Upstate, looks like you hooked the fish but the fish hooked you if you know what I mean. Don't forget to take your boys with you, I loved going fishing with my dad.
