Noticed my shoots spine differently depending on what side I measure. Got them to a fairly uniform 3/8 inch, but one side measures stiffer by as much as 50% more. Is this common with shoots? See how they fly before getting concerned? Or just average the readings and fletch the stiff side to the bow?

Place the stiff side to the bow is what I have always been told. Id certainly bare shaft them though before investing hours of work.

Yes, the stiff side goes against the bow.

you could consider static spine as way to get into the ball park. matching weight on a set and individual tuning can be useful also
