-
Boards? yes!!! Shoots, give them a few more years. ;) Pat
-
Like Pat said, if it is boards I would take it all day long. I often take the 3/4" boards and rip them in half before I back them with boo just so I can make one more bow. ;D Justin

ding ding ding yankee is right
i got two huge boards with enough wood for 8 bows but it was all that was there because the guy sold most of it :'( and the wood has cracks so i could pull 2-3 bows out of this so i am happy and i have many handles and tip overlays now. and its free
he said once they get some more i could get some
-
Free is my favorite wood David, now ya need some hickory backings and yer in business.
Yankeee I stayed up until 9:30 last night ::)
-
It would be interesting to know what the thickness ratio of early to late growth is in the rings. Could make a diff in how you use it. Optimal is a thin layer of lighter colored tissue and a much thicker layer of dark colored tissue.

What ever........I have been doing this all my Life.....I do great on 3-5 hours sleep every night of my Life....sorry you think it's Childish.....but it's your loss that you sleep most of your life away...and I utilize mine.......... ::)
-
I'm with yankeemongiat on this. most nights in bed by 1 am,up by 5:30,work allday.then come home and try to be father/husband for few hours then it's into the proverbial mancave and try to make sawdust and scrapings.
although there are days when i like to get 6-7 hours of sleep like the so called normal people, but i find if i sleep too much it just makes me more tired and my old body stiff.
PEACE,
Tim

You have a GOLD MINE get them to about 7/16 through length, then tapper from each end to the middle ,1/4 to 7/16, back with raw boo should get a bow around 45 to 55 #s at 28" . Iam assuming the boards are at least 66" long, if not z splice have fun ;D
-
i got enough for at least four bows
the grain is really straight. straighter than any grain on a white wood board that i have seen ;D
-
Ooohhh David ,Ol' Buddy. ::), Hows that Mulberry doing. I might be able to trump you guys >:D
