Well Guys thanks for all the help. I created her in the Eastern Woodland style to the best of my ability. She is Hickory 63 inches n2n, 1 1/4 wide through the handle to mid limb then tapers to 3/4. #58.3 @ 28, bend in the handle. After 300 plus arrows she's a very good shooter. I had no desire to imitate another design from a museum piece so I came up with my own color scheme and pattern, which I believe could easily come close. I always thought coral snakes were beautiful so we done a coral snake type pattern. They don't have the fastest delivery system, but ounce for ounce they are the deadliest snake in North America. I also didn't break out pin striping tape and the hvlp, I done the paint by hand, it has brush strokes and other imperfections but I like it that way. I dyed the front and the raw hide handle, which the handle came out pinkish, but I'm man enough to deal with some pink. Cant remember the last time I made something that was this rewarding and fun. Now ive got to get some more wood I'm already starting to experience early withdrawal symptoms.

Outstanding paint job on a lovely looking bow. The Yellow on the belly gives it the look of Osage! ☺

Nice bend on that one

The stick speaks for itself in all respects. Glad to see you decorate to your vision, and not get caught up in the make it look like some one else's bow. That sir is the essence of decorating. I can just about guarantee that a Native American can tell it's your vision and not a rip off "wanna-be".
Very nice, carry it with pride.

Thanks Guys, this has been a fun one. This one is kinda long for a hunting bow I guess its a hunt/war bow size. But I used the stave full length to keep it on the safe side considering my lack of experience. I'm not a fan of short bows either.I got some ideas for the next one, #70 war bow 68-70 inches. Come spring time I will collect what I need for traditional dyes or paints, just gotta find a stave.
