Title: Cruciforms
Post by: JEB on February 08, 2018, 06:52:57 pm
Here is a photo taken in a museum yesterday.  The two items in the middle, one white and the other black are called cruciforms. A few years ago a group of us went to Mexico to look around and a friend of ours found one just like the two in the photo. I believe they are ceremonial pieces.  The other items in the photo are nice specimens as well.

We don't go south of the border any more.

Very interesting Jeb. The round ones with the holes in them. Do you know what they are? My mom found one on the Lake Huron shore once that looked very similar. I wish I could find it. She always had it on her window ceil but nobody knows what happened to it. I thought maybe weight for fishing or maybe atl atl weight, worn out fire starter bearing? All just guess.
