Been years since I've posted a bow so here ya go fellers. This is Osage with a rawhide backing. 54 in. NTN , 15/8 at fade to 5/8 at tip. I stained the belly with leather dye and with Kiwi brown shoe polish. Funny 8) It looks just like a twenty year old Osage bow.
The bow has a propeller twist on each end witch I left because the string bisects the handle perfectly. Did cause some scrutiny when tillering.
I referred to the bowyers bible vol. 4 page 104 and page 124 as well as page 45 of vol. 3. I decided to get adventurous here. Did not really achieve replica but more of a combination of all.
Yep! this ain't pretty but it sure performs well so I'm real pleased.
Bow ends up with 1/2 of follow from a 3/4 in. reflex starting out. I usually would achieve 1 1/2 set with Osage. Maybe the tiller was appropriate.
Here's some pics!

A few more pics.
Forgot to mention draw weight is 46lbs at 25in.
Hope you enjoyed, Greg

Nice i like it! It reminds me of 2 of my first and favorite bows where the outer thirds of the limbs dont bend. Im still trying to figure out if theres really anything wrong with that, because i like how they shoot :OK
Do you hunt with it or just shoot for pleasure?
-
No longer hunt. I do shoot with friends. This tiller worked very well on this bow. I guess the theory is too much working in the inner limb is a risk for set at a bad place for it. So!! it's a little dangerous to do. I'm no expert though ;)
Thanks,
Greg

Greg,
That is one fine looking stick Sir...Looks extremely balanced and love them stiff outers...You don't have to tell me that that bow moves an arrow quickly, I can see it...Those pin nocks are awesome and in my opinion they are the most efficient...Thanks for posting that beauty...

That little brown stick is a great bow with a heck of a dye job.

Nice little bow. The name caught my eye

Your bow has everything you'd want in a bow - it's a Beauty! Bet it's light in the hand too. I'm really liking the shorter bows - Nice work!

Excellent tiller on that bow.Held up very well.I've always liked pin nocks too.

That's a sweet little bow Greg. (-S
Congrats!

Sorry, I have to disagree with you there: this bow sure is pretty! Pretty bend and pretty ageing/stain job

Right up my street this. Shape, proportion, finish, all look lovely to me.
