Howdy!
This is my first bow, built a couple of years ago now, which I recently touched up and made prettier and sturdier. It’s 64” ntn, about 47#@29”. Buffalo horn overlays secured a bit more with whitetail sinew. Rawhide backing secured with whitetail sinew, painted with simple acrylic and coated in tung oil. Hopefully I’ll remember to post a full draw photo soon!

Purdy. Congrats on the painted back!

When I read the title I thought why paint an already beautiful piece of wood. When seeing the actual bow I realised how wrong my assumptions were. An absolutely stunning job.

That's one good looking paint job. I've been trying to find my artistic abilities to paint a bow, but it usually looks like I scribbled with a crayon.

Same here.I barely trust myself to sign a bow very good.Nice work Thunderlizard.

Pretty bow, I like it! Looking forward to see the braced and full draw pictures :)
-
Full Draw. Awkward hand placement because I usually cant the bow when shooting, but for the photo, I’m holding it totally vertical!
-
Great looking bow! Both the tiller and paint job. Put me in the don’t trust myself with a paintbrush group.
