Title: Naples, FLA area knapping?

All,I am in Naples area next week for long weekend. Wanted to reach  about possible collecting sites to gather some material. Any recommendations for legal.places to go look?

Any knappers around to spend an hour or two helping a newbie get better at mapping?

Parnell live in Naples. But the closest you are going to find knapping rock is up by me. There is coral in the Alafia River.

Hi Paulc, yes I live in Naples.  We were scheduled to fly out today but it fell through.  I may be here next weekend but am unsure.  If I am, then certainly, I’d be happy to help out.  We’ll catch up on it in a day or two?

Hopefully early afternoon on Thursday.  Leaving Tybee Wed evening and driving 4 or 5 hrs south before bedtime.  I totally get it if the timing won't work, being last minute and all. But an hour of your time would be super helpful I am sure :-)

A great morning hanging out w my new buddy Stephen. He actually drew out flakes on the stone before making the strike and the flake mostly matched the pencil marks...some day I'll be able to do that too.

Stop by my place next time you're in the Savannah area.
