I always find it hard to photograph my bows.

I'm not doing much finishing on this one though, going to leave it bare wood for the most part.

Nice, looks really snappy, #45 @26 is perfect for me. Just saying. Ive been working with maple can you post a pic of the grain on the back?

The grain is pretty good on this board, not perfect but pretty good. There's some runoff around the handle, but perpendicular to the back the grain runs perfectly straight end to end.

I'd love to do a bow trade but I live in Australia.

Looks good, my grain isn't that straight so I will have to back it. Got one now I'm working with raw hide on it. I would like to make a Mollegabet one day.
Good work. I worked with a fellow from Australia once, I asked him if wanted to come over for a cook out we were having, he said no thanks, the way he felt he would be laid up with a wog this weekend. I thought it was slang for hooker or something. Cool guy.

laid up with a wog? weird thing to say.

In aus, wog is a slightly derogatory term for someone of mediterranean descent. he might have meant something else. we can be inscrutable lol.

I ask him later he said it meant laid up sick, In America we call it a bug. Cant remember what pat of Australia he was from. I'm sure its like Here, ya go a hundred miles and the dialect changes.
