I had a thought and ran it past No Nose and he likes it. Soooo here it is.
The Chopstick Challenge. The idea is to take a set of bamboo chopsticks like you would get at your local chinese restaurant and build a working bow out of them. You also need to build yourself 3 arrows to shoot from your bow at the 10 yard target block for best score. I'm thinking two classes, backed and non backed. You can enter one bow into each class.

Is there a limit on the number of chop sticks that can be included in the bow?
-
Yes there is a limit on the number of chopsticks. The limit is one set of chopsticks per bow.
-
Can I make my own chopsticks?
-
There is always at least one in the bunch that tries to twist the rules. So far I'm up to three people now. I thought this was going to be a simple fun challenge.
One set of chopsticks like you find at your local chinese restaurant.
Do I need to give the specks for chopsticks? (R

This sounds like fun a chopstick take down bow would be what I would build if I was attending. But to far for me to drive.

Im hoping to get started on my chop-stick bow before much longer. I have some ideals and can't wait to give them a try!!!! (f)

Rules are never simple Tinker when you have men involved. ??? ::) ;) :) Sounds like fun for sure.

Now I need to find me a turkey with wing feathers small enough for arrows of this size. Maybe straight from the shell?
-
I found some reuseable chop sticks online that are bamboo and actually some that are wenge as well. From the looks of the original shape of the chop sticks you could make an ELB design with a take down sleve!

You guys are bunch of nut buckets for sure. I might suggest hummingbird feathers for the fletch though >:D

Yep! Breaded and deep fried with sauce, maybe beans or potatoes! I need to gain more skill before trying bamboo!

We only had two people build chopstick bows. That would be Dave, and myself. Patrick broke my first bow. Needless to say he was not allowed to touch my second. We decided to complete in a flight shoot with our bows. We where quite shocked with the performance of our bows. Dave's bow shot 40 yards. My bow made a surprising 50 shot. Needless to say we are bringing them back next year after some fine tuning.
