I started tinkering in my shop again the last few weeks. Its been a long while. It felt good to get a dusk mask back on and crank up the tunes. The static is from osage billets with an ipe cap on the spliced section, brown deer leather grip and dyed with leather dye and alcohol, I wanted a camo look. It pulls 51-52#. The small bow is yew with purple heart tips. It pulls about 23-24#. It was nice to knock some cob webs off, and I had some help with that. Thanks for the visit guys ;)

Great looking bows PD! I just recently got back in the shop myself after about a 2 year hiatus. It does feel good to get some orange dust flying.

I had hernia surgery and have ripped my mesh loose twice doing stupid things. I haven't been able to pull a bow on a tillering tree since I had the surgery back in September, talk about withdrawal! I am finally getting better and think I can make some dust in a couple more months.
-
They look great as always Pearl. Glad to see you back on the horse. Shaving horse that is. And yes you have not lost your touch! Arvin
-
Good to see you back Chris. After getting hit on my motorcycle a few months ago I have just recently gotten back in the shop, and almost able to pull hunting weight. It does feel good! Looking forward to seeing some more of your bows.

PD, nice work! Glad to hear you're back in the mode!
Eric, Rps, you guys follow doctors orders, and remember, p.t. doesn't mean physical therapy - it means pain and torture! >:D (lol). Been there, done that!

Now you just have to knock the dust off of your drums, and set them up. Nice job on the bows. Keep at it friend.
-
So glad to see you back pearl and do wear that mask so you dont end up with a plastic hose on your face like me.
-
Classic Beauties - your bows are always executed to a "T". Thanks for the inspiration - I want to try a static and seeing this one stokes the fire!

-
Well done Chris
-
You certainly haven't lost your touch.
-
Its almost like riding a bike. You haven't lost your touch but then again never thought you would. I like the stitching on the handle. I could use some pointers on that. Mine are a little more crude. Danny

How does a man have time to make two bows, post certain pictures, and not have enough time for a full draw? I'll take your word on the perfect part but only because I have one of yours. These other poor folks need to know!
-
How much would bows like that cost? they're sure pretty! Great job!
Russ
-
I watched him build it and I shot it. Wasn't perfect when I left. It maybe now but a pic would be nice

How long are the bows?
I didn't measure them, but Im thinking the yew bow is 53-54" and drawn 23-24" and the osage is 65-66" ntn drawn 28+.
