This is another elm bow that I made back in December.
55" NTN
30# at 26"
1 1/2" wide at fades tapering to 1 3/8" before the levers.
It has 1 1 /2" of string follow.
Ratan handle
I used acrylics to paint the ringneck.
This one will be for one of my grandkids.

One more pic

That aught to make some one happy.

Nice kids bow and good paintwork. I haven't tried this kind, but like to give my bow that little extra too.

nice one, im still learning but that looks great )P(

Thanks guys.
Looking at it again...I think my tiller is off a bit.
Bottom limb bending too much I think.
-
Bending too much near the handle, look at the unstrung pic. You can see all the set right out of the fade.

That ring neck painting is very cool, lucky grandkid!
I agree with your tiller thoughts. But, its a kids bow that will get the snot shot out of it either way.

That pheasant looks cool blends in nicely with the patina.
-
ksnow - I see it.
PEARL and Woodley, thanks.

The mollys are a bit tough to get right. Bow looks cool! Ringneck is very nice!
-
Nice work! That’s a fine weapon right there.

Great handy work with the brush. Bow oughta be a big hit with the grandkids.

Thanks guys.

You certainly are talented with the brush for sure. Very cool. I agree on the tiller but I say its a win either way. Those mollies are a bit tricky not to isolate the bend in one area. Its almost like you have 2 fades to tiller from. Good job though. Its all a learning curve anyway ( pun intended ).

Thanks Sidewinder, I'm going to try another
molly someday. I have a background in art
and I thought I would try something on a bow.

Nice bow! The grandkids will be leased!
