Title: Pyrography my wife did.
Post by: DanaM on April 08, 2008, 06:16:45 pm
Here's a nice little pocket quiver I made, in an effort to get my wife more involved
I convinced her to do some art work on it with the wood burner. She has the artistic talent not me.
She thinks she messed this up ??? What do you guys think eh???

Ahh, don't worry. She's female, and she's an artist, and those are two things that naturally lend to a disposition of heavy self-criticism. Tell her a fellow artistic female says it looks absolutely wonderful. Sometimes art is like jazz improv; you might play a wrong note, but so long as you don't tell anyone, no one will ever notice or know it was wrong.

" But for the life of me I don't see where she messed up  ???"

She messed up by DOING the first one.  Now she's stuck doing ALL of them.
Nice, though.  I draw and paint portraits and she has got skills.

That is nice work.My wife does good art also and is always critical of it.(Comes with being an artist maybe) Your a lucky guy to have a wife that contributes to your interest.Sounds like she could get some trades going for you.  Frank

I think Andrea S. had the answer to that, Dana. Your wife did just fine on that pocket quiver, and if she does all the ones being asked for now she will be masterful - (or maybe she'll just shoot you instead -  :D)

Thanks Bernie, I'm trying to get her more involved, she has so much more talent than I do and she much easier on the eyes ;) :)

Awesome man.  I like the whole concept of a pocket quiver.  I need to make me one, maybe before the Classic.

I'd have check out this post earlier but I thought it had something to do with putting wires on her fingers and asking her a lot of questions about you.    ;D  Your a lucky man Dana.

Otoe Ifin I get some time I'm thinking of making a few of these up to bring with me to Pappy's.
They don't take long to sew up and maybe the wife can find time to mess em up for me ;) ;D

Thanks for the Eagle one Dana! I really like it and I'm getting a lot of use out of it at the home/archery range! Though I do need to replace the bails of straw...again! Rains to much here in the Northwest!!!
