This is a new design for me and I'm wondering how these profiles look to you. I can say that the set back handle has a noticeable give at full draw, and given the length, the bow shoots pretty comfortably.
Please feel free to rip it apart. :)

That's purty :D :D. Must have driven you nuts tillering it. It looks so right and wrong at the same time.
-
That it exactly DC! It's so hard to know if you've got it right. :-\
-
Looks good to me. Nice one working!
-
Kinda want to do this with a sinew backed cherry stave. How long is yours?
-
Very nice.

It's just an RD with a couple extra curves, how tough can it be ;D ;D ;D ;D

Well you got more experience with that design than I do. I might take a little off the inners if I had to take any more. Really hard to tell but doesn't seem like deflex is being over stressed. Might help save your handle area from working a little.
I really like it though Jeff. Always wanted to try one myself.

Thanks for your thoughts everyone.
Mafort, it's 52" long. It's made with 3 lams- ash, cherry, osage. I think lams or sinew are the only ways to get a bow like this to REALLY hold it's profile over time. Sinew would also allow you to make a short bow bend further. :OK
That's a good way to look at it Don!
BJ, I think you're right about those inners. I think I'll work them with some 80 grit. Always good to hear your thoughts. :)

Cool shape! Doesn't look stressed to me. But if, I'm with bjrogg - maybe the Inneres a bit.
I have a narrow long ash stave which has a natural profile in it, like yours - more or less. You give me some inspiration for this one!

That is awesome, love those curves! I agree with the others that you can get some more off the inners, leave the outers alone, they look maxed out to me
-
Nice be interested in its performance. Arvin

looks great,, what are the specs,, did I miss that :)
-
Nioce bow Jeff! I know the tillering of those 5 curves is something special.
I like the profiles, esp. the unbraced. If it's up to me, I would go for an asymmetrical bow with that pronounced curves (only my opinion).
I'm with the others, if you need more draw work on inners.
Is it osage?
-
I love it when there's agreement amongst skilled bowyers. The inners got some scrapes. :OK
Promise I'll report out on the performance once I get her all finished up Arvin. I wonder how she'd do in the appropriate flight shooting category.
Brad, 52" ntn, 55# @ 26" :)
Simson, it's ash, cherry, and osage. I thought it'd be hard to get a bow like this to hold its shape without some laminating.
-
Did all the shape come at glue up or did you pre-shape the lams?
-
Very cool bow... those 5 curves make my brain hurt ;D
