Title: Hide glue percentage

When I want to mix a 15% hide glue is that 15% glue and 85% water by weight?

That's a starting point, but I'd weigh it as well, just in case.  I don't know much about hide glue, that seems to be more than a bit weak!

Yes, it’s measured by weight not volume.
