I've jogged and worked out for 18 years. It kept getting harder. Sunday morning June 23, I woke up with chest pain and out of breath.
Wife drove me to nearest hospital, where they dithered for 15 or 20 minutes before agreeing to give me nitro. Then got ambulance ride to a real hospital.
Long story includes quadruple bypass and membership in the heart attack survivors club.
Doctor says the rest of my carcass is in good shape--only the coronary arteries were bad. He says that in 3 months, I can do anything I want, including shoot a bow, a shotgun and use a chainsaw.
I know several of you have walked this path and said it is years before a bypass survivor can do those things. I'm going to take that as a challenge. When the doctor says all is healed, I plan to jump back into those things.
I'd appreciate your prayers. Would have gone home from H today, but potassium level not stable.
Feel pretty good and am walking the halls and doing stairs.
Onward and upward. Now need to find out why God left me here. Have complete confidence it was not to make and shoot bows or guns. Keep your accounts with God very short. You have no idea how much time you have.

No bypass yet but stents 3 years ago. I was going turkey hunting and got nauseated, sick to my stomach and out of breath walking to the blind. I sat for 30 minutes and felt Ok but the same thing happened walking back to my truck so I drove myself straight to the ER and got a couple of stents.
Glad to hear you caught it in time.

Glad you caught it Jim, I have lots of friends in that club and none of them have stopped doing the things they love to do.

Keep on doing what you like to do as soon as the doctors turn you loose! In the meantime, follow instructions! >:D. Congratulations on getting it caught in time!

Glad you got it all fixed up Jim. I'm sure you'll find that purpose. I'm thinking you just gained a good amount of time. Glad the rest of you is in good shape.

Take care, Jim. Glad you caught it in time. Now, do what the Dr.s tell you and you'll be back to normal before you know it.
