Latest made points from a small local (SC) gathering this past Sunday. All rock was heat treated. Left -> right: Mookaite, Flint River, Coral.

Good looking points, Rick. The coral looks like what we get out of the Alafia River.

Thanks. Picked the coral up at Cartersville a couple years ago. Hard to see, but there is a light rusty pink color running down one side. Looked very hard for coral polyps with a magnifying glass and am having trouble finding anything resembling one.

Rick, you won't find polyps unless someone spalling or sawing it does it in the right direction. The coral grew straight up like a plant. You have to saw or spall it across the top horizontally to get the polyps.
