I was Thinking About how to make pyramid bos. I heard low crown/ flat back Will be best so boards came across my mind, instantly afterparty that i remembered how tough underlayment boards van be. Did annyone evver try to make a bow out of of?

Underlayment is plywood which is not suitable for bows. Even if it was a good wood species, the fibers of each layer run in opposite directions. The back and belly need to have grain running length wise through the bow to get its tensile and compressive properties.

If you can make a shootablw bow from OSB (oriented strand board) I would be impressed.
Heck I’ve been kicking around the idea of making a bow from some 1/4” thick lexan I have.
