Anyone ever used Chinaberry for a bow and if yes how is it? Thanks, Clint

Chinaberry is a sort of Soft wood....comparative to...lets say......Birch.....or some Elms....it will make a Nice Wide Limbed Bow of lower Poundage....But you must be careful and wear gloves...because the Sap....Bark ....Leaves and Fruit are Toxic....to people and especially Animals

as said..pretty soft wood. i cut a piece once and even after it was cured, i could bend the un-roughed stave. it was firewood after that. im sure you could get a bow out of it, but it certainly wouldnt be worth my trouble. ofcourse i like heavier bows, if i make one under 50 lbs i give it away. might make an ok womans or kids bow.- Ryan
