Title: Julia Rose's Bow
Post by: DanaM on May 05, 2008, 01:47:37 pm
Here's the little maple bow I made to give away at the classic.
I gave it to Marie's daughter Julia Rose her smile says it all ;D
Its bit strong for her but she will grow into in know time at all.
Its 30#@24" with 6 red osier arrows. Enjoy :)

That is a beauty of a bow Dana - really slicked up, and some tiny tips. The look on Julia's face has to make you smile :).
The little bow that Ridgerunner made for mini out of some of Marie's Ash was a sight to behold too with that pink camo pattern on the back - turned out really nice!
And Marie's osage bow that she slaved on all weekend looked like a real arra flinger - here's the lady's playing with their new toys :).

Dana

That is a sweet bow! You are very kind to have made that beautiful gift for Julia Rose. You and all the others have been so good to my family and to our whole Primitive Archer team. It was a special time for us all. Thank you very much.

Julia Rose absolutely LOVES her bow!!!  She was beside herself when she received it.  She kept talking about how beautiful it was.  She loved trying to shoot it.  All three of us need practice.  I now have an even bigger incentive to put up a target in my back yard!   ;D

That is one heck of a nice bow and a kind gesture. Her face really lit up when she got it and I know that made your day.  Im wiped out too Dana but that was a good time. Pappy, Greg, Grant and all the Twin oaks guys really treated us great.

Yep, that was cool when you gave it to her and watching that smile spread across that cute freckled face.  And I thought I was the only one with a hoarse throat, ya' reckon it was from talking or all the Osage dust? Or heaven's no not the June Bug. ;D

I ate one a year or two ago for $5 ;D  Wasn't too bad, the legs stick your tongue a little, but I've tasted worse.
I really enjoyed meeting Dana, Cowboy, Jessie, Koan, Auggie, Dirty Dan, Chuck, D. Tiller and that wild man with the dog hair hat! and several who's names have escaped me as well as seeing some old friends.  My only regret is not being there a few days earlier and spending more time with them. HIGH QUALITY PEOPLE, everyone of them.
I still smell the smoke from the campfire and still have a hint of a headache from drinking that "spring water" >:D but it was all worth it.
Dana, Cowboy and Mullet, be very careful with that stuff. A little goes a loooong way ;)
Ryano gave me a nice little stave he had already roughed out, I hope I can make him proud with it.   Saw Filer
