Going down to Florida to visit a friend of mine in early November. He lives about 30min north of Tampa. Anyone know of some good places around there to find pigs and deer? It's a hunting visit, gonna bow fish some too.

I am 2-3 hours S from there. Well, you are going to be in “Zone B”. That’s the Green Swamp. It is public land that you can access. Check it out online…
Bow fishing? Down here I shoot the canals for Tilapia. I believe Sheepshead and Mullet are fair game in the saltwater.

I will check out green swamp thank you. He is looking into richloam too I believe.

Hey, Allyn. No idea about Florida, but that sure sounds fun. I'm itching to head to Texas for a pig hunt one of these winters. Have a blast and share pictures!
-
Yeah I'm pretty excited. Even if we don't see anything it'll be fun tromping through some new terf and seeing what the wild areas are like down there

Check out The Green Swamp East, Richloam, Upper Hillsborough, Chassowitzka. All Management Areas close by Tampa.

Thanks mullet I'll check those out

Could use some Florida time about now--about 8" of snow on the ground and no sign of letting up! Looking forward to living vicariously through you. ha ha
BTW, Allyn, I started work on the second stave you send me. This one's going to be a "curvy pyramid," and I decided I'm going to try hitting my desired draw weight on this one, just to be different.

I just finally started a new bow last week, also gonna be a pyramid. I guess we will be twinning. Maybe I'll hit my desired weight this time too lol.
