Hey folks,
A lady reached out to me, to ask for help identifying an old wooden bow. She was told it was a child’s bow. It’s just wood and a string. She said it measures 41” “bent” (braced). It has a unique selfnocked tip, that resembles Native American style upper nocks. And there is a red marking, that looks like 3 slashes, and a bold line below. I can’t make-out any lettering.
I’m no bow historian, but I told her I’d ask for help on my bowyery forum.
Any ideas?
Thanx!

I'd say it's a homemade bow. No idea about the symbol on it. Maybe just decoration or a signature of some sort.

Hey Pat,
Thanks for chiming-in. I’d say, after a couple hundred views, and no ID’s, we can call it homemade.
Thanxagain, all!

isn't that marking just an arrow?
