Title: Honey Locust
Post by: neuse on October 09, 2022, 08:12:37 am
I cut a piece of Honey Locust the other day, not for a bow. This stuff is very heavy and dense.

There is another tree in the same location that is bigger, I think I will cut that for a bow.
It seems like it would make a good white wood bow.

I've never used honey locust for bows but from what I've heard it's a marginal bow wood. If you have other more proven bow woods available I would go this that.

May be the thornes are good for arrow points?

Here is an old honey locust bow article. We have a lot of honey locust trees around and it's on my list to try it sometime. Our trees don't have the thorns.
