Haven't made a bow in several years for various reasons, primarily motivation. This one is 70" ntn and 42# @ 29.5". The tips and grip backer are rosewood and the grip material is stingray leather. The finish is lemon oil/bees wax with several coats of Johnsons over that. I know the unwritten rules in regard to posting bows on here, but I don't have a full draw pic, so you will have to trust me on this one ;)

That’s a beauty.
-
great work, I can see the full draw would be perfect,,,, :)
-
That came out nice! Hope you enjoyed building it!

I have to admit, Steve. Getting a nose full of wood dust felt great. My arms needed the work out as well. I could feel it in my arms I was pushing and pulling hand tools again. Mostly, I was just thankful that inspiration finally came back around. I cant build a bow because I should, or because I have to. I have to have the desire and vision in my head first. Otherwise its a train wreck and no fun for me.

Come on buddy where's the full draw? No excuses
-
A three year hiatus but it's still in your blood. Beautiful bow as usual for you, Pearl. Although, I gotta tell ya, I'm with Paul...we need a full draw, lol.
-
Beautiful bow! I really like that handle wrap. Great to see you back on here PD. Can you tell me how wide you made it?
-
Classic flatbow/longbow. Beautifully executed craftsmanship. (SH)

Thats one beauty of a bow my friend, havent lost the touch....
-
Glad to see you back here posting bows again Drummer boy.
Two bows with out full draws though. Better find a photographer or someone you can pull the string.
Doesn’t look like much scrap wood.

Awwww, the Little Drummer Boy is back! And just in time for Christmas!
Seriously, nice work as always, sir. As for the hiatus, machts nichts, don't mean a thing. Would you be a better person for making bows because it was expected of you? The human brain seems to be hardwired to seek purpose and sometimes we become trapped in a self-definition loop by that imposed purpose. Whether it is making bows, drumming, or working with raptors in my case. But that purpose is not immutable. If you find no joy, or worse, begin to dread or resent that purpose then you start to die inside. It's all right to walk away, whether it is temporarily or possibly permanently.
I am happy to see you post again, bow or no bow. I have missed your input and your unmistakable passion.

Nice yew bow.
-
Doesn’t get any better than that. If there’s anyone we can trust without a full draw pick you’re on the list! (SH)

She's a real beauty, Pearlie. Glad to see you back in it. I've struggled a bit lately too.
-
Very nice bow. Love that handle wrap.
-
Thank you very much, guys. Very flattering. Similar to my first steps into this hobby, I've again went from 0-60 in a hurry. My bride took a few more pics last night. I'll get them on here today, eventually.
-
Looks like a beauty Chris, and while I do trust you on the full draw, I still want to see it😁
Left to my own devices I surely would have burnt myself out on bows, but life obligations thankfully have kept that at bay.
-
Great job Chris. Looks amazing. One of these days I’ll have to try yew.
-
Beautiful bow Chris! glad to have you back on here!
-
Chris, it’s great to see you building again, and that you still have the eye haha
A bow similar to this, your yew recurve from probably 10 years ago was such a source of inspiration to me in my early days and the full draw shot is still pinned up in my shop. If you need any more yew you know who to ask :)

Looks great, PD! Very nicely done. Jawge
