Title: Blizzard just in time for Christmas
Post by: BrianS on December 22, 2022, 11:33:24 am
Looks like Santa is going to need Rudolph for this one. Sure glad I retired and do not have to plow at the Church this weekend. My Wife and I have decided to just stay home and not attempt the one hour on good roads trip to my Step Daughters house on Christmas. Right now the sky has blue showing through but looks a bit strange. We had a whole house generator installed a couple of years ago. Snowthrowers and chainsaws are all ready if needed.
take care , Brian

Here is the video from Day one. Tonight and Saturday are suppose to get more snow than today and the winds are suppose to be stronger. My Wife and I just stayed home. I went outside to film some of it but mostly watched it from the window.

Brian , watched the Blissard video and it looked just like outside my window. We ended up dropping down to -5 degrees with real bad wind (feels like -32 degrees), I been feeding the wood stove and also had pancakes this morning and made 2 loafs of home made bread. Wind still real bad here, Hunker down and be safe Later Bob

It was -5 today with strong winds.  We got 4" of snow overnight.  I'm finding ways to stay warm.

Blizzard has really picked up tonight. Winds are higher tonight than they were during the day. Tried looking out but every window in the house is covered in snow making it impossible to see. Back door was drifted closed but got that open. Went out very briefly to bring the snow shovel that I had tied to the railing so it would not blow away, inside. Not sure how much snow has fallen so far. I think it is not all that much but the wind is blowing it all around. Lights flickered a few times but are on for now. We put in a whole house generator a couple of years ago so I think things should be good as far as electricity goes. Should end it about one more day.

Went out this am to check on things. Snow let up but still windy and cold. Got the driveway cleared but roads have not been plowed (Not going anywhere anyways). Good day to watch the Bills game.

Yeah, 38 this morning and the dogs are frisky!  Nice to see my 12 year olds running around like puppies.

Clint, nice to see you are keeping warm and…dig the watch cap!

Merry Christmas guys.

Pappy,  it's not a bad way to spend a cold morning.  Opening weekend of gun season my wife and step son were sitting in the snow hunting.  Since I already killed a buck I stayed home and sat in the tub all morning.

Parnell, good to hear from you again.  I hope you guys are doing good.  My Twin Oaks hat is warm and sees a lot of use.
