Title: Rawhide backing
Post by: Muskyman on April 03, 2023, 04:17:55 pm
This is probably a silly question but I’m going to ask it anyway..
I got the Osage bow I built back out to finish it up 100%.. Took it down a little in draw weight, from 54-55 lbs to about 50 lbs. Sanded it starting with 80 grit and went to 120 to 220 to 320 then steel wool. Nice and smooth now.
Okay, now for the stupid question. When I put oil on it should I oil the rawhide backing too. I know, I know but, I had to ask.
