Hello all ,
Any members from the UK here who make Dave Mead Bamboo style Horse Bows ? any help appreciated .

Not from the UK, but he has videos on Utube showing step by step how to make his bows. Rock maple for the siyahs, and riser, and most important heat treated quality bamboo slats. He shows impressive arrow speeds with his bows that I have never been able to match. I think because of my short draw, and cheap bamboo slats. I make a beefier riser to cut a deep arrow shelf into mine. It is easier for me to shoot that way, and tunes easier. It is your bow, so you can make any mod you want to. Good luck on builds.

Bassman is correct. I’ve made several of these as well. I have made some that match his speeds but has taken me a very long time to get there. I’ve made well over 100 of these at least over last five years. There are some tricks that can be used to get speeds and still keep them short with decent draw length. He speeds at about around 9 gpp are impressive and mainly with 39lb or under draw weight bows that I can tell. I’ve been consistently getting mid to upper 190’s fps at 9-10gpp with similar style bows. I’ll be doing a build along tutorial of mine here in the next month. Stay tuned.

Super Dave does indeed makes some premium Dave Mead style bows. Even takes them steps farther. Look here in the archives. If you send him a message he will cover any question you may have. The best source around for making these bows in my opinion.
