This is Todd's bow. Todd is writing a book. Travelling the world, visiting various bowyers. Making a bow with each.
We made his from laburnum. Its the historic "Bodman" Design, 3500bc, original made from yew, only stretched in length by 10% to get a 29" draw. 63" ntn. 60#.
That was a fun build. You can follow Todd's Journey on https://www.anchorpointexpeditions.com/project-quiver (https://www.anchorpointexpeditions.com/project-quiver)

Very cool idea and a beautiful bow. What is the nock insert?

Beautiful. Tell us more about those tip inlays/overlays.

Thanks guys!
The nock inserts are little plates from cowhorn. First mske the slots with a flat file, then match thickness of the horn. A little lip on the horn towards the back of the bow covers the glueline. :)

That is an extremely cool way to do tips. I'll have to try that sometime.

I agree and may do the same. Excellent way to hide the seam.

Dang thats a purty bow. God job!! Like WB said those tips are super cool. Im definitely gonna give that a go on some of my juniper bows.

I really like the shape of the bow from above. How wide are the limbs, and tips.

Beautiful bow. Hope to see more from his adventure. He’s sure off to a good start.
