Title: English footed arrows
Post by: Robert Pougnier on November 13, 2025, 12:38:45 pm
My latest small batch of footed arrows. Cedar core and purpleheart footings and inlays. 29 inches, 550 grains. slightly barreled and forward weighted.

Absolutely lovely, and the brass tips make them pop!

Thays an underappreciated craft and you nailed it.  Great job on the footing and arrow crafting.

Very nice arrows. We haven't seen much arrow work around here lately. IMO, the arrow is as important as the bow in archery but most folks don't consider that and making arrows is an art in itself.

Thank you!

I've been trying to get my arrows more consistent. I've had a hard time making tight groups until then. But having well spined arrows has helped a lot and made me a much more consistent shooter.

I'm working on a set of rivercane arrows and another of sourwood. I'll hopefully post those up soon!
