Title: Plains style Quiver
Post by: Robert Pougnier on January 06, 2026, 06:09:06 pm
I found a large ottoman with nice cowhide in the dumpster over new years. I took it home and made a couple quivers and some gear bags to go with.

Here are some pictures of a quiver inspired by those made by the tribes of the northern and southern plains region.

Materials are reclaimed cowhide, buckskin lacing and fringe, eastern red cedar plug, river cane stiffener and copper nails.

Thanks for looking!

Robert

A couple quivers and some gear bags? ... Since new years?? ...24/25 you mean, right??

Nice quiver! Post the bag, too, please!

Thank you!

Here are the bags, they are small and intended to be attached to the quivers for carrying extra string, wax, sinew, snack or whatever... The dark brown one is grain-on and walnut dyed buckskin.

I've had quite a bit of time on my hands this winter :)
