Hi All,
As a board member for the Traditional Bowhunters of Montana, I want to invite all our Western folks here to the annual Western States Traditional Rendezvous which we get to host in Montana over Memorial Day weekend this year. Traditional archers and bowhunters from all over the west will be gathering to shoot bows, share stories, and just generally have a good time at Lolo Hot Springs in Lolo, MT. We'll have 3 courses of 20 targets, games & novelty shoots, vendors, and more. And YES, we have a selfbow class for the shoots!
We're also working on setting up a selfbow-building station/event, so if anyone is interested in helping out by instructing or even just showing off bows to curious individuals, let me know. We do this at our TBM summer shoot as well, and it's a great way to get younger folks hooked on selfbows. On the same front, if anyone is interested in selling staves as a vendor (or to TBM to distribute), we'd love to have you!
I know it's called "Western States" Traditional Rendezvous, but folks from everywhere are welcome! I have my own goal of getting more selfbows present at shoots, so inviting folks here is the best way I can think to do so!
