a friend of mine is visiting the US and wondered if y'all had any suggestions where he could shoot his bow (preferably at a tournament) in pleasent company.

OK. Im this guy, who´s visiting your country. I will visit some relatives in St. Louis and do a roundtrip through Illinois, Missouri, and part of Nebraska (for picking up some osage staves). I´m interested in any event or chance to shoot my bow and have some nice talking with a beer in my hand.

Check out the dates for MoJam, in Marshall MO. It is in July I think. MoJam is the Mecca for wood bow building.     Pat

i heard a few days ago that their is an outdoor shooting range at a park in St. Louis and they buildbows and meet on Sunday.(at least im pretty sure its sunday)
im pretty sure  would have to check waht park

Eeyup , they've been known to drink a few. But only when ya twist their arms a bit. :D

  wilfred    they have a big long bow shoot coming up  in hot springs   south dakota  i my self want to go to that one  and iv posted for info so far no replies  i dont know whats what with that all is  know is it s over the 4 th july   i planned to go there befor i went to mojam   hope someone can chime in here and post some info  on that shoot   good luck

Auggie and I got some time off during those dates. Dont know about any shoots goin on but do have acces to a couple ranges and its prime time for bow fishin..give me a call when you get in and we'll see what we can come up with ;) p.m. me and I will give you my number....Brian

Maybe you could get Brian to take you to the Charles Grayson museum.  He knows how to get into the back rooms and see all the good stuff.  ;D Justin
