Great lookin first, how's she shoot?
-
That looks real nice for your first bow Badhill, heck of a lot better than my first!

Thanks for the compliments, It shoots real well. It hits the target so much harder than my compound bow, and its a pound lighter. I guess I'm hooked! ;) I call the tips "pool cue tips" LOL. ;D
-
Very nice. Congratulations on your first bow. Jawge
-
good lookin bow it only takes one to get hooked

Unusually good outcome of a first bow. You must be a good wood craftsman generally. Stitching on the leather is enviable to me.

Wish I could have been that good out of the shoot.
-
not bad, and i like your big toe, too!
-
Thats a nice bow and a good start..

Great job. This is a very nice looking bow.
-
That's a fine looking bow - you did really well for your first one. I'll bet that compound bow of yours won't see much more daylight.
-
Great looking bow. You did well. Ill bet Gordon is right about the compound. Justin

Congratulations on a job well done. When I started out I tested my own creations against a Bear Kodiak and yes It's now a wall hanger in my workshop.
-
good job man! Ive got a sweet spot for hickory, and the craftsmanship is just great! welcome from the dark side!
i actually lost my compound, it was laying under some staves in my garage, and one day, it just disappeared!

Very Well done even if it would be your 20th bow. I could only dream of such a bow when I started.
-
Great job with exceptional tiller for a first. The only advice I would give for your second is to round off the corners of your handle. Square handles don't fit the hand as well as rounded ones do.
-
I missed this one also. Very nice tiller. It took me almost 10 years to get a decent first bow! ;D Pat
-
Great job! Welcome to the addiction! ;D
-
Radius you are a sicko... and you have a foot fetish!
Nice looking bow. good tiller. excellent job for your first one out of the gate. Keep it up

WOW!!! Great bow. You have got talent. Wish my first was like that actually I wish my 4th was like that!!
-
congratulations an a very nice bow. could you tell us how you attached the feathers to the lacing? that looks really nice.
-
Thanks for all the nice compliments! On my second bow I have already started to round the handles much more. The feathers are attached using a barrel clasp for a necklace, I got the feathers just the way I wanted then stuck them in and super glue did the rest. I just tied them to the handle using the extra leather lace that was left over.

Great first bow. Not much set, great tiller, high draw weight, and in one piece. much better than some of my first attempts. Keep up the good work.
Perhaps think about backing the next one if you are going to stay with the higher draw weights. Even though hickory is pretty tough the run offs on the back may want to start splintering up in the future. I almost always like to back board bows. Just my take.
again great job.
