Title: Tiller Help
Post by: david w. on August 03, 2008, 08:26:25 pm
Here is the oak pyramid bow i am working on.  The backdrop is bad in the picture so it might be hard to see.  Thanks for all the help!

You need to get more of the limbs working near the fades.

If it were mine I would start by getting more bend in the first 6-8 inches of the fades and see what happens on the rest of it from there.

After the fades it appears to be a little stiff on the right outer limb.

OK thanks every one.  I have had expeience with the riser pooping off because of the bow working in the handle but i will try to get it working in the fades.  If it pops of i will epoxy it back on and no big deal :)

What was alrady said. Pyramid bows like circular tillers :).

Can you tie a string between the nocks to simulate the bow string, and to help see how balanced the limbs are?
