Title: I pat b ed an arrow

 Or robin hooded it either way.From about 15 yards away out of a 16 foot tree stand I shot and i heard a crack and saw splinters fly. the second arrow in the picture is the one that hit it.It still stuck in the target. I think its non repairable. it was one of my poc practice arrows.If it would of been a broad head I think it would have split it all the way down.

A spot of wood glue and some thead should sort that out..... ;)

hate it when I do that. love it too. doesnt happen much with me tho.
those wernt those vibernium shafts I sent you were they?

no they are not it was a poc arrow. I have about half of the vibernium straightened and the rest almost straight but havent made them into arrows yet

That's totally fixable as long as there are no other cross grain cracks. I have used TBIII and super glue to repair split cedar shafts and by adding a wrap or 2 at your fletching its good to go. The arrow might have a little more spine weight but with the split being only in the rear, probably not much.
   For the nock, Grind a long, flat taper in the nock end of the shaft removing the damaged area. Grind the same bevel in a cedar cut off and glue and wrap until the glue is set. Then cut to length and cut your nock in again. On the one I repaired it had a raw hide spine so I had to add that too. Yours looks like you have a spine in it also.
   You may have to remove the feathers yo do the repair . After the repair is done re-fletch and add a wrap around where the splice is just for security.      Pat

Good shootin....my dad did the same....should be fixable....and that deer target you shoot i got the same and ive broken two or three field points off because the arrow hits the STUPID plastic legs!  >:( ;D ;D
