Nice deer ! Nothing wrong with shooting a little one :) How far did it run ???
-
about 100 yards i seen it bed down, i hit it a little far back, i got down and did not see any blood around the kill site but after walking 20 feet i started seeing blood, and than more blood and thin i knew i made good must have nicked the back of the lings and hit liver.

Way to go there Jesse, some fine eating there. :)

Good shooting, Jesse! Those little ones are more of a challenge, especially at 20 yards... Fine job. ;)
-
Nice deer, us meat eaters don't pay attention to size.
-
Congrats Jesse! That's some excellant meat...melt in your mouth! ;)
-
Everytime I shoot one that size, my brother asks if I wiped the milk off its' mouth. Good shot. It should be nise and tender.
-
Congrats Jesse, when season opens up I ain't passing up any deer that gives me a chance, don't care if its still sucking momma's teat ;D
-
That's just the kind I like to eat. People can say what they want to about me, but I'll take tender backstraps over horns anyday. Great job. Stone point?
-
Thanks guys, no i used a Ace 160 grain Brodhead, its illegal to use stone points on Ft campbell.
-
Way to go . That is what I like for my personal stew pot. Ronnie
-
fine job Jesse. Can't complain with an opening day selfbow kill.
-
Good shot Jesse! I love shooting them little ones like that. They taste better and are a lot easiier to drag out. ;D
-
Way to go Jesse, I'll take pink meat over ol' tough red meat anytime.
-
Good job Jessie. Don't worry about the size. It was a clean kill and will eat good. Great way to start the season.

That's the way to go, ...I always let the small ones go, hoping for a bigger one to come by, and always regret it after ::) ::)
-
Nice job what people don't realize is smaller deer take more skill to hit :o

good shooting, mighty fine eating thats for sure, keep it up- Ryan
-
Good job Jessie. Do you get to take more than one? Kenneth
-
Nice one! God I got to get out hunting. I can dream! ::)
-
Kenneth we can take 3 doe a day and 3 bucks total in TN. From this weekend till the first of Jan.
Ft. Campbell you can take 3 doe and 1 buck, and that don't go aginst your state total.

Good job - did you eat the liver? I always take some zip locks for the organ meats. Nothin' better than fryin' up the liver with a mess of onions and garlic with a fresh kill hanging outside ;D good luck for the rest of the season!

Nice Jesse, yep - that'll be some nice tender venison. I'm taking the first thing that walks by this year, then I'll probably take the second thing that walks by and third and so on ;D.
-
Thanks guys, The lady at the ft campbell put it down as a doe so i still got a buck tag for ft campbell.
-
nice shooting
nothing wrong with taking a nice tender one out of the woods, easier to caryy out that way ;D
besides you cant eat the rack anyhow and ive heard it taste like bone to boot lol
those little one always taste better to me, they havent been alive long enough to get real gamey
congrats and good luck on the rest of your season
peace,
tim
