mbg thats a nice looking fletch ya came up with there
i might have to try that,i have a few small wings feathers like those.
is that home made cordage in the pic too? if so what kind?

Is that just two small feathers opposite of each other. Only tied at the front of the fletch? It looks nice, I like it. If I can take a guess at the cordage.... I would say rawhide string?
-
yea, its deer rawhide bowstring, and its sealed with thinned pine resin.
ill try to get up more pics.

Nice fletching Jamie. I'll give it a try. With other 2 fletch I've done I get better flight with the feathers tied up side down on the shaft...meaning back down, not quill back. Pat

That's pretty cool, Jamie. Looks like the wings on an Adams dry fly.
-
Nice idea, do you not have a problem with the fletchings coming out of the wrapping.
-
if you cant get the sinew down tight enough you can always tie them frontwardswards then fold them back, and tie them good. this will hold them good.
ive got 330 lbs pulling on my team so i can get them real tight!
lol
heck, who knows....the design may change 4 more times again!
dont you love archery!
my biggest enjoyment with REAL traditional equipment is trying to make everything with out store bought epoxys and strings.
