I don't know that much about you Jeremy and kinda thought you were a beginner but this point steers me in a different direction. A very nicely done corner notch of a material that I've seen before but am not sure about. Thank you sir! That one will be going in my clection ;).

Paul
Glad you like it. It was my best effort to make an even trade with the point I got from you (still not close though). I am more of a lurker on these sites than anything but love jumping in on trades. I have been knapping for 5 years or so but tapered off in the last year with a new to us house and all the work that comes with it. I should be a better knapper by now, if not more consistent but it is what it is. The material was sold to me as Dover/Ft. Payne, I heat treated it after I received it.
Thanks again for the point you sent me, It is a beauty.
Jeremy
-
No problem Jeremy. Keep on knapping and keep on posting on here - your going to fit in quite nicely ;D. Ft Payne - I gotta get ahold of some of that.
-
aint nothing wrong with your points, Jeremy, I about have a small case of them. How have you been?
-
well this week i have gotten two packages in the mail
both of which had points in them
when i opened the first one i was impressed.i had gotten my point from lobo69ss (tim)
i was shocked to see he sent two points, one from a brown glass(beer bottle i am guessing) the other from clear glass.
both of whcih are very nicely done, hes got some skills thats for sure.
the other package was from leapingbear (jesse).once again i was impressed and shocked.he to sent along two points.
both of which are very nicely done,as we all know jesse has skills.one is a mini hoe the other, well i have no idea of the point type or materials of either
i just know they are very nice
i am proud to have these 4 in my collection.
thank you both very much.i like them alot

Good points all!
-
I got my final package today. It was from Wade (n2everything). Man! What a nice point!
It came inside a big 'ol box of texas rock. I can't believe it didn't get broken :o
Enjoy... ;D
-
That's a goodun! I wanted to see that box-o-rocks ::).
-
I like TX rocks I watched a video done by paleoJim and he's good. i thinking of taking a trip to Tx.
-
If ya go warhawk. Anywhere south and west of San Antonio is gonna be good. Best if you can follow the Pederanales river up toward Luckenbach. Out thata way is where Jim hunts his stuff.
-
thanks Cowboy. I was stationed at Ft Hood and i use to find arrowheads around a Knoll with was quarryed. the color of the rock was a white matrix on the outside and a bluish gray on th inside. if i only know about knapping at that time i would have had a ton of rock. Can you tell me the name.?
-
all VERY VERY nice my favorite is the 2nd pic posted ,of Bryan Irwins.
-
warhawk: around Ft. Hood it was probably some Edwards Plateau or Pederanales stuff. The white outside stuff would have been either cortex or "on the artifacts" Patina, or more or less oxidized outer stone.
-
Here's the one I got from Wade (n2everything) the other day. I also got a box of stone as well...Thanks a bunch Wade! I'm gonna cook it in my kiln and see how it turns out. Judging by some of the points other people have made of it, I'll bet it will turn out nice. Anyway, here's the point.
-
That's a nice one billy/ Wade. What's those black speckles? Looks like the sharpy sprang a leak :).
-
Ohh Baby! That's a nice one too. I believe 'Ol Wades been holdin out on us.

Thanks, Curtis, it's in my case now. I'll get some pictures of this nice, blue and red streaked, coral? point tomorrow.
-
Here is the incredible point that Piper sent me. It has an amazing needle tip. Thanks Curtis.
