I started out trying to make a big knife blade. But that didn't work out so I ended up with this. One flute worked out pretty well, but the other side didn't.
It's Georgetown flint and has a some cool little quartz lines running through it.

Beautiful point Shannon, is it true that some of the clovis points only had one flute?
-
From the research that I`ve done looking for authentic clovis work, it seems that there
were a lot that only had one side fluted.

Nice and authenic looking, Shannon.

i like it, very cool looking rock. and a nice point.

That's a darn nice one Shannon! You always turn out something nice outa whatever you start. Here's my second attempt at the Rambo blade. Everything seems to want to be a turkeytail here lately for some reason. I'm about ready to chunk this one in the "later" pile cause of all the darn pecussion steps in it. Maybe I'll work on it some more and wind up with one of those avoid knives or something.
This isn't a private contest Jesse - if you or anybody else wants in just start knapping ;D.
