Who is ready for a get together at my place? I am thinking either the weekend of March 26, 27, 28 or April 2, 3, 4. All the usual stuff is planned. Food, Archery, Knapping, Camping, Bow Building, Primitive Skills and whatever else we get into. You never know when another chicken hunt will break out. ;D For all those who have attended come on back, and for those who have not come, come on over and join in the festivities.
Let me know if you are interested, or which of these days work better for you. PM or call me

Alright. Works for me Bryan.
A friends of Boo and mine will also be there and he teaches survival classes. He is going to do some seminars on making snares and shelters among other survival techniques. He has his own company and goes around the globe teaching classes. This dude is a wealth of survival knowledge.

TJ, I would really enjoy spending some time with experienced knappers and primitive types...I'm in the Winston-Salem area. I meet Madcrow and spent a few hours with him and he spoke highly of you guys...Just let me know what days you decide on...I will need directions

-
TJ, I'm gonna try my best to make it down unless it keeps up this 15 degrees at night with a thirty-mile-an-hour wind and a foot of snow on the ground stuff.
-
This is David's wife. So when is this thing happening. I would like to know the exact date because it is not posted up here!!! ;) ;D
-
Yes Mam! ;D It is happening March 26,27,28. That is unless we get more snow like we did today. It has snowed 2 inches and is still snowing!!!!! All the other snow was jsut about gone. Piss on it I am going to have snow or not!
-
We got anywhere from 6" to a foot up here yesterday, still snowing, supposed to be up to 3" more by tomorrow morning.
-
HA, ha, yo bunch of hillbilly's are starting to sound like you're afraid of a little snow up your Kilt. ;) ;D
-
Snow is better than skeeters or snakes any day.
-
Wish I could be there. ;)
-
You are welcome on my farm any day.
-
Thanks, TJ.
-
Not a problem. ;D
-
HA, ha, yo bunch of hillbilly's are starting to sound like you're afraid of a little snow up your Kilt. ;) ;D
Says the feller who runs all the way to the Equator when the temp dips below 50. ;D ;D
-
I would love to come out for at least a day, if possible. Where abouts are you located?
-
Jonathan, I sent you a PM with Directions. I am in North Wilkesboro. I am probably about an hour from Cleveland. I used to work there at the Freightliner plant.
-
You can pretty much send an arrow to my house from Freightliner. I live just across the tracks on Third Creek Church Rd. I would definitely like to get together some other time. I've just made the switch to traditional archery, and would like to progress to the primitive stuff.
-
well john i am right down the road down by stumpy creek come on by well break some rock or wood
-
Don't break the wood!! ;D If you are just gonna break it give it to me ;D
-
We'll have to do that sometime, Brian. My in-laws live in Sherrills Ford, so I'm over that way all the time.
-
Heck next time we will have a get together down that way. ;D
-
any time come on down
-
Hey TJ,
I'm gonna try to make it down. I have been MIA on the primitive skills action and would love to jump back in snow or shine.
Could you send me directions. Thanks Dingleberry
-
Glad to see you around again, Jonathan. Are you going to be at the Classic?
-
Which way you coming from Jonathan?
-
Gonna do some work this weekend to get stuff ready. Trying to plan on clearing enough room for everyone to camp. If you are camping might be a good idea to pack warm sleeping gear to be on the safe side. ;D Can't never count on the weather this year.
-
tj you need any help let me know.
-
It's up to you Bryan. I will be out working on the area all weekend. I never turn down free help. ;D
-
Mrs. Nugget ( Brenda) is planning on cooking a big pot of chili Friday evening and a campfire breakfast on Sunday morning. Usually there is leftovers for lunch on Saturaday from the chili. Other than that I figured we could do some pot luck on Saturday. I am trying to get a hold of same rabbits for a meal also. I aint having much luck and they are up to 10$ apiece around here for one of any size. ???. I will keep on looking.
-
Might be a chance of rain Friday. I will have a tarp up, but just in case if you are coming Friday bring a canopy if you have one.
-
Glad to see you around again, Jonathan. Are you going to be at the Classic?
Not sure. Dang sure gonna try. Would nice to see old and new friends.
-
Wish I could bring you some rabbit, damn things lived in my kitchen all winter. They have only been outside for a week and a half. I could bring some texas pig for grilling sat.
-
Sounds good Trey. Bring it on down.
-
Oh heck yea, bring the pig ;D
-
The time has come. I am so ready. Can't wait til the morning. If you need directions now is the time. Planning on being outside early tomorrow. Gonna finish up a few little details and then I am going to start breaking rocks till everyone starts showing up. Chili will be ready around dinner time.
-
I went down to Nugget's and Brenda's for the day yesterday. Had a shining time. You two are gracious hosts and a lot of work went into the doings. Had folks from 8 weeks old to folks in the mid 60's. Great presentation on survival skills. As usual everyone willing and able to share their knowledge and everyone willing to roll their sleeves and help each other. Learned that I got to make my re/de tips smaller.
Thanks you two.
-
Hey Grunt, I was the lurker watching all the great knapping. I didn't get your name but when you posted it was "shinning times", I realized yo were the guy wearing the buffalo vest. It was good meeting you and all the others. Looking forward to the next event already. I sent you a message on the trading list about the baker tent.
-
Hate I couldn't make it again. Lets see pics! :)

Yeah, thanks TJ. It was nice to meet your family; all four generations present. Had a ball hangin out with everyone. No one has mentioned how the kids outshot us grownups......sorry fellas but the truth will set you free. Look forward to hanging out in the future. jonathan
-
All them kids were shooting good. They were even turning out some decent points too.
-
Well dang don't you rednecks have any cameras ??? :P
TJ did ya give the bow I sent ya away?
-
I really hate I wasn't able to make it up for this one. By the time I sent our youth kids home and then did the t-ball thing I was spent. Hopefully there will be another, and hopefully I'll have a free weekend.
-
Dana, I gave that bow to a boy who shot the fire out of it all weekend. I am waiting on some pics from his father. I am going to give your contact info to them. His father was very impressed with the bow and wanted to thank you personally for the generous donation. Thanks again Dana.
