Here is a new bow I just made. It was a experimental design, with a reverse riser. It has a Raw bamboo back, osage core, and raw bamboo belly with black walnut accent stripes in the riser and walnut/osage tip over lays. It is 62" ntn and pulls 53#@28". I think it turned out pretty good. It draws to 28" very smooth, and shoots a arrow with authority. I really like the way this bow draws and shoots. it is very smooth and can easily be drawn to 29" with no stacking at all in a 62" bow. I am planning on building a recurve using this riser design when I get the time. using bamboo on the belly makes for a much lighter limb with less mass. I do temper the bamboo on the belly witch greatly inceases the compression. This combo makes for a very durable limb that holds the tiller very well. Most of the tiller is made into the bow with the taper in the lams. and in the limb design. I do the final tiller by removing matrial from the sides of the limbs.
