Title: titebond liquid hide glue
Post by: Tommy D on July 30, 2010, 05:40:24 pm
I have a bottle of titebond liquid glue - can I use this for sinew backing a bow and will the results as good as with normal hide glue? Read a few posts on the subject but wondered if anyone had any further thoughts?

I wouldn't. Even when it works, the consensus is that it doesn't work well. It's ok for other things, but you really want that sinew nailed down tight and the liquid hide glue in a bottle doesn't dry that hard or get that strong and is really susceptable to moisture. Most guys that try the liquid hide glue for sinew backing end up wishing they hadn't.
