Hello everyone. We used to have a thread in the "Anything Else" category where everyone could post a pic of themselves. I wanted to start another one because if any of you are at the same events, it would be allot easier to put a name with a face than trying to vaguely just remember someone's screen name. So if you all will, post a pic of yourself and keep this thread going. I think it would be awesome to have a face for everyone's screen name. I guess I will go first. Thanks in advance for participating. :) -josh

Yea, Josh. Patrocino, Brazil. I ate lunch with him. He was in charge of that area, real nice guy. Two days later I got a loaded, cocked 45 pointed at me from one of his guy's for making an illegal left hand turn. That woke me up quicker then their coffee. :)

I'm not Steve, but I did used to raise fancy chickens. I'm gonna guess white polish but I didn't raise crested chickens so it may be way off.
As far as pictures, sorry, almost all pictures of me have either grandchildren or dead animals in them. I have summer and winter looks:

Hey Steve I like that hat, what kind of bird is that on your shoulder?
Josh, that's a retarded, narcoleptic chicken that we met at the Powder Creek Shoot a few years ago. We named him Lyle Lovett because of his sexy hairdo (feather-do?) He liked to eat razor-sharp obsidian flakes and other silicious debitage. He also like to stand in front of targets. We adopted him as our totem animal for the weekend. Here he is in all his omnipotent glory:

Josh, cool idea for this thread.
Here are a few of me, from about 1967 to today. Taken in Exposition Park, Los Angeles; Rio Vista School when I was inducted into the Weeblos (sp?); the barracks at Schwabstadle Kaserne, FRG in 1985 (w/ my buddy Lucero in the barracks testing out my shiny new birth control glasses the Army insisted I have but I refused to wear); a photo from a couple / few years ago; and the last taken a few months ago at the pug playgroup Davenport, Lil and I belong to. The black I'm holding is named Melvin the Pug.

where you from that your catching them like that?
here in mn,i gave up on fishing, too many rules and regs now.seems like every lake/river has its own set of rules
what can be kept, what cant be kept etc etc etc
but we must put anyone that size back, only allowed one between 18"-21" now i think.
-
Thanks Sailordad. We got lotsa rules and regs too.We can keep up to three over 19.5" in the river.
I'm from Medicine Hat Alberta Canada. Southeast part.We were fishing about 45 min north of town.
Across the river is CFB Suffeild some of the miliatry guys might of heard of that place. One of the largest

Elktracker-- I had a couple pet crows when I was a kid. Mine would try to talk. It had no idea how to sound like a normal crow. One of the smartest animals I've had.
That outfit is hilarious. :D
-
Boy, that's a motly crew Jesse. I wonder where it was taken. ;D
I watched a show on NOVA not long ago about crows. These guys were studying the crows and were tagging babies. Well, the babies were tramatized by the researchers and years later recognised their faces and would attack them. The researchers began using masks and later anyone wearing these masks were attacked. They even told other crows and they would attack.

Here's a recent shot of me at a program with Icarus, our wild great horned owl. A little kid just below him had started screaming in excitement and Icky decided to adjust his grip on my glove!
-
Notice the wing closest to me...it's missing the outer joint where all the primary flight feathers are located. He had some kind of accident in the wild and SURVIVED! He lived in a farmer's barn for a year and a half before the guy decided his self reloading rat trap was eating just a few too many chickens. That's when he came to us.
(The bird is held under a US Fish & Wildlife Education Permit and is exhibited under their strict guidelines and is definitely not a pet...he bites.)
-
Very cool John. Now I have a face to go with the name. Had one of those in my chicken coop up north. He killed 7 chickens before I could encourage him to leave.

Nice fish Tim. That ain't winter fishing this is ;) What kind of fish are they?
Thanks Leroy
-
Stoker, I know the last one in Tim's post was a redfish, or sometimes known as a red drum. Spotted one looks like a trout possibly?
-
I cant believe i never saw this thread before.

The first one is a bonita, which is a type of tuna that has bloody meat. Sea trout and redfish like others said.
Yeah, Stoker I'm not too fond of the cold. If I have to put a jacket on then I'll most likely stay away from the water. I don't fish a whole lot during the winter though. Fishing is mostly a Summer time thing for me. Summer lasts from may to December down here. Hopefully soon I'll be able to post some hunts.
-
Tim where do you live?
You remind me of my brother, He's always out in his kayak fishing through the marshes and waterways down here in Myrtle beach. I'll find some pictures of the Red fish he caught this past summer.
-
I cant believe i never saw this thread before.
Turtle, yep, this thread seemed lost so I made it a "sticky" at the top of the section. It's one of my favorites. ;D
-
Tim- Looks like a nice place to fish. They are good looking fish
Thanks leroy
-
Yeah, Stoker it's a pretty nice place to fish. I've fished better places though >:D Sometimes the fish are so pretty I don't want to keep them. That's why I usually fish hungry. lol
Tim where do you live?
I live on P. Sherman 42 wallaby way, Brevard County, Florida. lol
Funny thing is, I actually don't fish the lagoons that often. I mostly go offshore or I fish freshwater on camping trips.
-
Sounds like a good place to live nemo!
I love Florida, lived there from when I was 3 to 12. I used to love going out fishing with my dad

Tracy,
I shot that garden munching varmint a few years back, posted the pic here on PA, someone replied"give him a hat and ponytail and he'd look just like ya", I woke up the next morning, checked PA like I always do and someone had photoshopped the pic.
Laughed so much I just about fell out of my chair.
Then last year I was at the Tenn. Classic working on my bow and a guy walks up and ask's if I hunt woodchucks? ???
I forget the guy's name(I'm terrible with names), but he was the photoshopper!
We both had a good laugh again.

Here's a pic of me it's almost a year old last deployment to AFG.

And my wife Lisa (middle) she ain't much of a knapper or Boyer but you can see why I still keep her around. >:D
-
Ummm, cause of her taste in necklaces?!? ???
I usually don't allow selfies to be distributed of my ugly mug, but my wife asked nicely. This is while I was engaged in some close quarters urban combat on my recent deployment to the living room. We (my bro-n-law and I) were outnumbered, but pulled the advantage by stockpiling extra ammo.
