Title: My cheap endless loop string jig
Post by: osage outlaw on December 21, 2010, 12:49:55 am
I made this up the other day and just tried it out for the first time.  It works great and didn't cost much at all to build.  It's just a 2x4, a couple of shelf brackets, some bolt hooks, and carriage bolts  It is adjustable to any length by moving two carriage bolts.  I can tighten the hooks to get the string really tight.  I just thought I would share it.

Nice, I like the way you can get very fine adustment with the screw threads. I'm afraid I make do with banging two nails into the front of my wooden shelves, and I don't even have a serving tool...maybe that's why I hate makin' strings.

What is better The endless or the Flemish? The endless looks alot easier to make.

Endless should have better performance, Flemish is usually quieter.
